About

After eight years leading my own animation studio, the desire for a more user-centric and research-driven type of design drew me to product design: understanding people instead of algorithms to build experiences that last.

My motion design background taught me to distill complex ideas into clear stories and maintain a high bar for craft.

I’m attracted to the fast pace AI amplifies the design process and keep a pulse on the changing tools to aid in brainstorming, synthesizing research and prototyping faster and more beautifully.

In my spare time you can find me long-distance running, exploring modernist architecture and watching confusing movies ↗ .

Experience

2016-2025

Lead Design, Co-founder

Co-founder of Manpaard, a motion design studio. I led projects from explainer videos to motion identities, learning to translate complex ideas into clear narratives for clients and stakeholders. I managed everything from pitch decks and strategy to briefing teams and execution, always balancing creative vision with practical constraints and business goals.

Accolades

The Flipdeck (Visit.Brussels):

Creative Belgium Award ↗

Repeatedly invited by LUCA School of Arts to be a jury member for final evaluations for the Visual Design course

Organiser, lecturer

Motion Meetup

I co-organised a networking event held in Brussels. While the focus was on motion design, we had 4 lectures from varying fields of design. The event was kicked off with a talk by me and the co-organisers about an assortment of new ways to integrate 3D-models into a motion-workflow. These varied from 3D-scanning to using the latest AI-tools to generate images from pictures or Google Maps data.

We had more than 60 design professionals in attendance and it was widely regarded a success, prompting us, by demand, to organise a second edition in 2026.
